Is there any negative effects to using Pellegen®?
No. It only helps or assists in healing or regeneration of tissues it is in contact with.
Is Pellegen® an antibiotic?
No. It is antimicrobial, meaning that it can inhibit or prevent some organisms from living when exposed to it.
Does Pellegen® heal all ulcers?
No. Pellegen® aids in the normal reparative process. It depends on the tissue it is in contact with having adequate, but sometimes diminished, blood supply, nutrition, oxygen, immune response, etc. Working in conjunction with cellular mechanisms, it can accelerate the healing process.
How long does it take to heal an open-wound?
The time required to treat an open wound is dependent on many factors.
- The size of the wound
- The frequency of treatment
- The health of the tissue treated, i.e whether it has normal blood supply, other conditions associated (diabetes, etc.)
Can I put antibiotic lotion or cream on before Pellegen?
Only water soluble creams, lotions, solutions, gels, etc. of any kind may be applied to a wound AFTER Pellegen has been appropriately applied.
Note: Pellegen may be mixed with water soluble carriers for application.
What size does an open-wound need to be in order for the product to be effective?
An open-wound of any size may be treated, such as extensive burns.
